I believe that by fostering a sense of community and investing in the physical, economic and social well-being of our neighborhoods, we can create a stronger, more vibrant, and more inclusive Mableton for all.
As a city council member, I would support initiatives that benefit citizens, create jobs, and increase economic opportunities for residents. I will also prioritize the development of community spaces, such as parks and recreational facilities, to promote healthy living and social engagement. Furthermore, I would focus on the development of infrastructure, such as public transportation, sidewalks, and bike lanes, to improve mobility, safety, and accessibility for all residents.
My platform for community development is focused on creating a sustainable and equitable city for all residents. By investing in the physical, economic and social well-being of our neighborhoods, we can ensure that all residents have access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
A main concern about the extra layer of government in Mableton is tax increases, and my goal is to tirelessly work with the Mayor and my fellow city council member to keep taxes low and make our economy stronger.
Low taxes help to promote economic growth and quality of life by allowing individuals and businesses to keep more of their hard-earned money. This, in turn, elevates the mind, spurs investment and create jobs. This creates a virtuous cycle of economic activity that benefits everyone.
As someone that is very familiar with the technology industry, I understand the importance of a strong foundation in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education for our youth. I believe that by investing in STEM education, we can not only prepare our students for the jobs of the future, but also give them the skills they need to be critical thinkers and problem solvers.
That is why, as your district's council member, I will make it a priority to improve access to STEM education for all students, particularly those from under-served communities. I will work to secure funding for new programs, equipment, and teacher training to ensure that our students have the resources they need to excel in these fields. Additionally, I will work to build partnerships with local businesses and organizations to provide hands-on learning experiences and career exposure to our students.
Together, we can give our youth the tools they need to succeed in the ever-changing technology landscape.
Family is at the center of my campaign for city council. I believe that strong families are the foundation of strong communities, and that by supporting families we can build a better city for all. As a council member, I would prioritize policies that support families, such as expanding access to affordable child care, increasing funding for public schools, and promoting programs that encourage healthy family dynamics.
I would also work to make our city more family-friendly by supporting investments in community spaces such as parks, playgrounds and recreational facilities that promote healthy living and social engagement for families. Additionally, I would advocate for policies that make it easier for parents to balance work and family responsibilities, such as flexible work schedules and paid family leave.
I would work to ensure that all families have access to affordable housing, healthcare and other essential services. By making sure that families have the resources they need to thrive, we can promote stability and build stronger communities.
It is essential for residents to have access to accurate and reliable information about the actions and decisions of their government, in order to hold elected officials accountable and ensure that policies are in the best interest of the community.
As a council member, I would work to increase transparency in government by promoting open and accessible communication channels between residents and city council. This may include holding regular town hall meetings, creating an online platform for residents to provide feedback, and publishing detailed information about financial matters, policies or legislations being considered that may impact our community.
By fostering open and accessible communication channels between residents and the city council, we can increase accountability, ensure that policies are in the best interest of the community, and empower residents to participate in the decision-making process.
